Multi-Site Retail Security — Yorkshire Chain Stores and Independents

Running security across seven stores with seven different installers, seven camera platforms and seven maintenance renewals is how stock loss hides in the gaps. We work with multi-branch retail across Yorkshire — chain convenience, independent boutiques on multiple sites, food retail, hardware and homeware — standardising hardware across every branch so head-office IT learns one platform and loss-prevention works from one dashboard.

Stock-loss reduction that joins the systems up

Four systems do the work: CCTV with EPOS-watermarked till coverage so every transaction is overlaid on the recorded footage, access control restricting stockroom entry to named staff, ANPR on retail-park car parks as a ram-raid deterrent, and intruder alarms with dual-path signalling. Integrated on a single dashboard, a suspicious refund pattern becomes a five-minute video lookup rather than an afternoon of footage scrubbing.

Lone-worker protection for late-trading stores

Hard-wired panic buttons under till counters, wireless pendants for stock-floor staff, and time-and-attendance integration that flags when one person is alone in the store. Panic activation links to the intruder alarm, the monitoring station and the CCTV timeline simultaneously, so any incident carries full evidence — which matters most for late-trading convenience and after-dark fashion retail.

Insurer-grade intruder alarm design

BS EN 50131 Grade 2 covers most high-street retail; Grade 3 is typical for jewellery, electronics, alcohol-heavy off-licences and city-centre stores with elevated forced-entry risk. We design to the grade the policy specifies and supply system certificates at commissioning, with dual-path IP-plus-GSM signalling as standard so a single broadband drop never silently disarms a branch.

Rollouts, takeovers and head-office terms

A single named account manager coordinates every branch from survey to commissioning, with scheduling fitted around trading hours per store and a central asset register exported as CSV for procurement records. Taking over an existing estate from a previous installer is routine: every branch is audited with systems live, a gap-analysis report flags any BS non-compliance, and the chain transitions onto annual servicing without interruption. Standard 30-day commercial terms apply, with itemised PO-friendly invoices showing branch address, asset reference and labour breakdown — and multi-branch capital spend can be staged across the trading year.

Where we work

Hull retail across Princes Quay, Newland Avenue and Holderness Road; Leeds city-centre and Trinity Leeds; York independents and tourist retail; Sheffield Meadowhall and city-centre operators; Lincoln High Street and retail-park stores. The HU4 Hull base keeps East Yorkshire response fast while the account structure scales across the county.
